5. Sales

In Sales you record product sales: you pick the items, apply discounts or surcharges, set the payment method (even in installments or with a trade-in) and generate the receipt. Every sale deducts product stock and, if part of it stays on store credit, generates the customer's debt.

5.1 Create a sale

Go to Sales and use the new-sale button.

Step by step:

  1. Choose the customer (search or create them on the spot). Every sale is tied to a customer.
  2. Add the products: search for them and set the quantity of each. The subtotal is computed automatically.
  3. Adjust discounts, surcharges, payment method and currency as needed.
  4. Review the summary on the right, which shows the total live.
  5. Confirm the sale.

The sale stays in Reserved state. From there you can edit, finalize or cancel it (see 5.7 and 5.8).

5.2 Trade-in

If the customer hands over a device as part of the payment, you record it as a trade-in. The value of the received device is deducted from the sale total, so you only charge the difference.

5.3 Discounts and surcharges

  • Discount: by percentage or by fixed amount.
  • Surcharge: for example, interest for paying in installments.

The summary recomputes the total each time you change one of these values.

5.4 Payment methods and combined payments

You choose how the customer pays: Cash, Transfer, Card (credit or debit), Store credit or Other.

You can also combine payment methods in the same sale (for example, part in cash and part on store credit). The system checks that the sum of the payments covers the total.

5.5 Store credit and installment plan

If part stays on store credit, you set up a plan by entering the number of installments and the amount per installment. The customer's debt is generated when you finalize the sale (see 5.8), and from there you track it in Debts (see Part 6).

The total to pay between cash and store credit must be equal to or greater than the sale total. If part is left uncovered, the system warns you before saving.

5.6 Currency and exchange rate

If you work with more than one currency, you choose which one the sale is made in. When there are products or payments in another currency, you apply the exchange rate to convert so the totals add up.

Between dollars and pesos, the exchange rate opens already filled in with the sell rate of your business’s reference dollar, with a note saying how recent the quote is. You can change it before applying. The same happens for the products of a repair order. If your business has the dollar among its currencies, you also see its buy and sell rates in the top bar on larger screens; click it to also see the blue, official and MEP dollar. You choose the reference dollar in Settings > Business > Currencies: blue (the Buenos Aires one, unless you pick another), official, MEP, CCL, crypto or your area’s blue (for example Rosario or Córdoba). The rate you apply is saved with the sale: if the dollar moves later, your past sales do not change.

5.7 Detail, editing and receipt

  • Detail: open the sale to see the products, the payments and the total.
  • Edit: change the sale's data while it is in Reserved state. Once finalized or canceled, it is locked.
  • Receipt: generate the sale's receipt as a PDF, ready to print or share.

5.8 Finalize or cancel a sale

A sale is born in Reserved state. From there:

  • Finalize it: the charge is closed. If there was a part on store credit, the customer's debt is generated at that moment.
  • Cancel it: it is reverted and the products' stock goes back in place.

Once finalized or canceled, the sale is locked.
